Nigeria will host the Women’s Junior African Nations Championship (August 15-21), while Morocco will have the Men’s Junior event (August 25 to September 2).

Egypt was chosen to organize the Girls Youth Championship (September 5 to 12), while Burkina Faso will organize their first ever continental championship when they host the Boys Youth African Nations Championship (October 3 to 11).

The board also decided to organize zonal qualifications for the first time during this year’s age-category championships where the qualifiers from the zones are allowed to compete in the finals that act already as qualifiers for the corresponding FIVB World Championships.

There will be also zonal qualifications for the FIVB Youth and Junior Beach Volleyball World Championships as Africa has already acquired six vacancies in each of the competitions for both genders.
