William Arjona, captain of Sada Cruzeiro: We were able to neutralize UPCN. We served very well, something we have not done during the tournament. Today, the serves landed. It happened and allowed our offence to open with the opportunity to attack. We are very happy about going to our second consecutive final and the chance of winning this event for the first time and at home.
Demian Gonzales, captain of UPCN: To tell the truth it was a tough match. Sada played at another level with players of the very first world quality. They played so well that made our game to look bad. I am a little bit sad about finishing this way but we just have to congratulate Sada Cruzeiro.
Marcelo Mendez, coach of Sada Cruzeiro: We played very well, especially with our strong serves. We didn’t allow them to build their offence and that was the big difference. Against Lokomotiv we need to serve like we did today. In our match against them we failed key serves and made too many mistakes.
Fabian Armoa, coach of UPCN: I don’t have a lot of things to comment about. We were defeated by a great team. They played great with their services and we were uncomfortable during the whole match. Also we made many mistakes and that’s why the sets were lopsided. We had a great illusion of playing for the championship but we will go after the third place and that way to cap our good tournament.
