Another difficult match, but also the fifth victory in a row. We had a lot of ups and downs, but teamwork prevailed and we scored three new points. The match, both mentally and physically, was constantly drawing strength, which contributed to us leaving the home field even happier and more satisfied. Many thanks to the audience who raised the atmosphere throughout the game. “

The match Mladost – Rijeka CO will be played on Tuesday, November 9 at 19.00, and the city derby Marina Kaštela – Kaštela on Wednesday, November 10 at 20.30. After the incomplete 6th round, Marina Kaštela leads with 15 points and a score of 5-0, the second is Mladost with the same score and a point less, and the third team is Enne Vukovar with 13 points and a score of 5-1.

Men SuperLeague also have two matches in five sets in Saturday’s games. Sisak beat Zadar 3-2 (25-20, 25-19, 21-25, 25-27, 15-8) away, in a match that lasted 130 minutes of pure-play, and with the same result, 3- 2 (25 – 23, 27-25, 19-25, 13-25, 15-13) and Centrometal beat Rijeka at home. The match lasted a record 134 minutes in this round.

Mursa Osijek beat Gorica 3- 0 (15, 23, 15) without any major problems, while Ribola Kaštela celebrated in the local derby against Split, which took their first set, with 3- 1 (24-26, 25-12 , 25-11, 25-18). After the match, the coach of Kaštela, Ivan Rančić, stated:

We had a cramp again at the beginning of the match, as in previous matches. It is obvious that we have some psychological problems. We dropped the lead 24-22 in the first set and complicated the game, and we could have finished it without losing a set against a team that is visibly weaker than us. The whole first set we played point after point and I saw that the players were not 100% in the game. I don’t blame them for anything, we have to come together and start playing with a different approach so that the wanderings we witnessed in the first set don’t happen to us. In the other three sets, we easily brought the game to an end and deservedly celebrated.

The match between Rovinj and Mladost, which was supposed to be played on Sunday, has been postponed. In last, Sunday’s match of the 6th round of the  Superleague, Kitro Varaždin defeated Marsonia 3- 0 (16, 12, 17) in just 68 minutes, away in Slavonski Brod.

After the match, Ivan Mandura from the home team said:

Varaždin deservedly won, they are more experienced, they train more, and that was clearly seen in this game. Unfortunately, we have been training a little worse lately, and that comes back to us from game to game. Today we fell into a hole in the service reception, especially in the first and second set, while in the third we regained some concentration, but that was not enough for the experienced team from Varaždin. The next round we go to the guests of Mladost and then we have a few games in which we have no excuses and in which we have to win as many victories as possible, in order to get the wind in our backs. “

Luka Somođi from the winning team added:

We entered the game concentrated, we did not allow the rivals to take the lead. In the absence of captain Silic, we have all the victories, and we also expect the next round against Mursa Osijek.

After the 6th round, Mursa leads Osijek with 18 points and almost 6-0, followed by Mladost, Kitro Varaždin and Ribola Kaštela with 15 points each, with Mladost having a match less and a score of 5-0, and Varaždinci and Kaštela with five victories and one defeat.
