KOR W: 2023 KOVO Foreign Player Tryout Concludes, Seven Players Chosen for V-League Season

After the completion of the men’s foreign player tryout on May 8th, the Korean Volleyball Federation hosted the 2023 KOVO women’s foreign player tryout from May 11th to May 13th, 2023. The tryout took place at Hasan Doğan Spor Kompleksi in Istanbul, Turkey. A total of 38 players were targeted, including 34 invited players and 4 players who had played in the previous season in Korea.

With the exception of Heungkuk Life Insurance Pink Spiders, who had previously renewed their contract with Jelena Mladenovic, six clubs selected one player each from the pool of 37 remaining players. As a result, four new players and three players with previous experience in the Korean league have been chosen to compete in the upcoming V-League season.

  • Korea Ginseng Corporation – Giovanna Milana (USA)
  • Hyundai H&C Hillstate – Laëtitia Moma Bassoko (Cameroon)
  • GS Caltex Seoul – Gyselle Silva (Cuba/Azerbaijan)
  • Korea Expressway Corporation – Vanja Bukilić (Serbia)
