Squad of Marcos Kwiek fought bravely against every opponent, and eventually finished the tournament at 5th place.
Despite, failing to reach the semifinal, Bethania De La Cruz, the best player of the team and the best scorer of the World Championship so far, stated that she is very happy with the achieved result.
“We did the best we could and it has been a good tournament for Dominican Republic. The Domincan team worked very well and hard before the World Championship. We go away very happy with our accomplishment in this World Championship. I feel very good with myself. I knew what we were going to play against the best teams in the world. I’m satisfied personally.”
