The team coached by Yuri Filippov demolished the rival in the third set – 25-12 for the final triumph.
Yurakademiya spent a lot of strength in the semifinals, beating Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk only after the tie-break, while Lokomotiv easily took Khimprom Sumy (3-0).
In the match for 3rd place, Dnipro beat Khimprom with 3-1.
Lokomotiv took the Ukrainian Cup for the 12th time in its history and got the chance to win another ’double crown’.
It has a strong lead in the championship, 13 points ahead of closest pursuer, VNAU Vinnytsia.
