For the spot in the final they will play against winner of the match the Netherlands – Poland.
Tonight, Turkey had luck but also a greater desire for victory. They won the first set 25-20 but in the next two sets Germany were better. Somehow both teams played similar volleyball so small things made the difference.
In the fourth set Turkey had 21-16 when Germany came to 22-21, 23-22 and 24-22. Naz Aydemir finished this set with the fantastic attack from the middle of the net.
The tie break was also equal. Turkish team led 6-4 when Germany made turnaround for 8-7. Neriman got angry; with her attacks, Kubra’s blocks and Yilmaz’s aces, Turkey got 13-9. Again, Naz finished this set, this time with the feint.
The best scorer in the Turkish team was Neriman Ozsoy with 18 points followed by Eda Erdem 14 and Gozde Kirdar with 13 while on the other side Maren Brinker scored 22, Jennifer Geerties 19 and Margareta Kozuch 16 points.
