“This wasn’t our best match but we won on pure willpower”, added the Russian coach Yuriy Marichev. “I’m happy that we advanced to the semi-final.”
“I’m satisfied with the way we performed tonight”, said Martina Guiggi from team Italy. “We played good, but not good enough to beat Russia today.”
“I’m proud of my team despite the defeat”, said Italian coach Marco Bonitta. “We played with the right concentration and with the intention to win. Russia is a very strong team, especially in blocking they were better than us today.”
