KOR W: Atomic volleyball even without foreigners, Pink Spiders win tiebreaker vs. Daejeon (VIDEO)

Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders finally broke their losing streak and remained at third position in the standings which is the last spot that guarantees playoff in Korea.


Pink Spiders had big negative streak consisted of four defeats and it came in the worst possible time, in finish of the regular phase of V-League. But, now they beat last-placed KGC Daejeon on road after trailing 2-1 in sets, five rounds before playoffs.

Foreign players from both teams, Hayley Spelman (Daejeon) and Taylor Simpson (Pink Spiders) didn’t play due to injury.

In the absence of foreigners, domestic players had their chance to stand out. In Pink Spiders, Lee Jae-Yeong had 25 points, while on the other side Kim Hee-Jin collected 24.
