The team believe their tour of Tunisia and Spain is a great opportunity to gain international experience. This is critical for Iran, as they are preparing to be the host team of the 16th Asian Junior Men’s Volleyball Championship – which will be held in Urmieh, Iran, from September 27 to October 5.
To make the best use of this opportunity, Iran coach Dr. Farhad Nafarzadeh gave all his players time on the court in their first match after arriving. Iran’s team was defeated by the national junior team of Spain 3-1 (25-23, 21-25, 25-24, 25-21). In all, the team will play six friendly matches with Spanish teams, including four with the junior team and two with the senior B team.
In Tunisia, Iran’s junior team came third in the 12th Kelibia International Volleyball Tournament. The senior B team and junior team of Tunisia took first and second place, respectively.
