Team Slovenia, coached by Italian Volleyball legend Andrea Giani, will be preparing in Kranjska Gora for two weeks and then travel to Montes Claros to join Bernardo Rezende’s Brazilian national team as the South Americans are currently preparing for the much anticipated Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Giani revealed his list of 23 players at the beginning of April, but decided to start the first week with only 14, for now without Tine Urnaut and Mitja Gašparini, who are still playing for their respective clubs in Qatar and France, and Klemen Čebulj who got some extra days off after a very long and busy season in Italy.
Dejan Vinčić, Mario Koncilja, Žiga Donik, Jan Brulec, Tonček Štern, Žiga Štern, Sašo Štalekar and Klemen Hribar will soon join the team.
The players currently working in Kranjska Gora under the guidance of coach Giani are Gregor Ropret, Aleš Kök, Matic Vrtovec, Alen Pajenk, Danijel Koncilja, Miha Bregar, Alen Šket, Jan Klobučar, Matej Kök, Jani Kovačič and Urban Toman.
