France started with a good tempo easily cashing the opening set (25-18) and things did not change in the second where the “Bleus” imposed their authority going for a speedy 25-14 for the provisional 2:0.
Spain was able to change the course of the game in set 3 chiefly via the help provided by their opposite Iban Perez and finally the match got very close in set 4 where the audience in Szeged got to see some high-class Volleyball.
After a very close battle, France got past at 28-26 seizing their first win of the tournament.
