This means Croatia qualifies directly for the final round of the 2013 European Championship while Romania will have a last chance via the third qualification round scheduled for May 2013.
“Croatia was definitely the best side today and we could not find a way to stop their opposite Sanja Popovic” said Romania’s head coach Atanas Petrov at the end of the game.
“We have fought with all of our hearts and we showed we are a great team, so we deserved to be in the final round of the European Championship” stated the Croatian star and top scorer.
