In the other match of the final day, Great Britain beat Portugal for the second time in less than 10 days, with a relatively clear 3:0 (25-22, 27-25, and 25-20).

“This was our last match of the season and everyone was really motivated” said Team GB leader Lynne Beattie.
“This is the first tournament where we play together as a team, so it is good that we have been improving match after match” said Portugal’s captain Dulce Santos Machado.
“We played a team that recently participated in the Olympics and has a lot more experience than we do, so we can be satisfied with our performance” added Daniela Loureiro.
