Two players who competed with the Russian youth national teams recently joined the Bulgarian Men’s Volleyball Championship bronze medalists Montana Volley.

An 18-year-old setter Konstantin Abaev and a 19-year-old opposite Kirill Klets left the youth team of Lokomotiv Novosibirsk from Russia to pursue the career in the Bulgarian top division.

Both players represented Russia in the FIVB World Championship this summer in their age category. Abaev was a member of the U19 and U21 national team, while Klets competed with the U21 and U23 national team.

Interestingly, the coach of the senior team of Lokomotiv, a club from whom these two youngsters moved to Montana, is the Bulgarian Plamen Konstantinov so, perhaps he convinced the officials of the Russian club to send Abaev and Klets to his home country to play.
