A 27-year-old Daniel Jansen Van Doorn will stay in France but change the jersey. The Canadian National Team middle blocker moved from Tours Volley-Ball to Chaumont, who won the national title last season.

This means that Chaumont gave up on signing a 2.09m tall Akhrorjon Sobirov. The Uzbek giant, who spent the last season on the German side TV Ingersoll Bühl, reported that he had some family problems which prevented him to commit himself to Chaumont.
