JAPANESE MEN’S EMPERORS CUP: Panasonic Panthers win the trophy!

Kunihiro Shimizu led the Panasonic Panthers to the victory at Japanese Emperors Cup tournament!

In the finals, Panthers defeated Gosei Trefuerza in four sets 3-1 (22-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-23). Shimizu was the best scorer in Panthers with 27 points.

On the other side, Igor Omrcen ended the game with 32 points. This is also the first trophy for Michal Kubiak in Japan! 

The victory at this Cup shows that Panthers are in the best shape this season, compared to the other teams in Japan. 

After this tournament, the teams are going to continue the race in the domestic league – Panther will try to keep the first place. So far they have 13-1 score, while Gosei have 9-5.
