Two players suffered injuries during the match, one from each team. Firstly, young Alexander Sliwka landed badly in the 3rd set and injured ankle. His teammates from AZS Politechnika Warszawska had to carry him off the court, and he stayed sidelined until the end of the match. He was one of the best players in his team until the injury.
A bit later, Bartosz Gawryszewski from Gdansk also suffered an ankle injury. However, he managed to stay on the court until the end of the game.
