In an interview for polsatsport.pl he said that he spoke with Kurek:
“We talked with Bartosz about his return to the national team of Poland. So, it’s possible. He will probably be back to the team” confirmed Antiga.
The Frenchman, who led Poland to the World Championship title, also added that the door of the national team is open for anyone…

1. Mika 2. Kubiak 3. Buszek and Kurek will be 4th in choice when Winiarski gets a year break. Again he will not play in starting 6 like before. With his hard character he is interested only in playing, not bench, again he will make conflicts. Kurek is not a player but celebrite, propose him about Hollywood or something like this…
@X I agree with you. But Antiga for sure said that he will be in the National team, and that doesn’t mean that he will play. But I think Kurek had to accept to come back to the national team beacuse if we see how he plays now in Lube, he will be sent away and sure he will search some Polish club to continue his career, That’s why he needs national team more than national team needs him
Who cares about his future? National team isn’t only the place to promote player. If again someone will be better than him like Mika was, Antiga should choose him, not Kurek. In +liga i don’t see him in clubs which play in CL. Only Ryszard Bosek can help him by gain better sponsor to his own Częstochowa and hire Kurek…
Can Kurek change to OPP for NT?
@P, If Kurek change position to OPP he will be so desperated like Bartman was only to survive in NT and we all know how it ended. Its only good for a while, maybe one season but its too late to change position at his age he’s not old but also not so young when he has still problems with smart playing with block even being OH. Nowdays Kurek can’t make a point in situational moments, being attacker its duty. He is horrible in reception, not regular service and worse attack than before, lost dynamics.
