Poland have struggled to enter the quarterfinals after suffering a huge defeat against Slovenia in the playoffs of the European championship.

The Polish media and the fans are wondering is the Italian coach good enough to handle the pressure at the bench of their national team. So far, he failed to do that.

Now, the situation is even getting worse. The fans are not satisfied not only with the result of Poland at the EuroVolley, but with the overall performances of the team, starting with the opening game against Serbia.

The president of the Polish Volleyball Federation Jacek Kasprzyk has commented on the recent result of their national team:

“A lot of players left the team. Maybe there were some mistakes during the prep period. You should ask the coaches why this has come out as it has. If one of the players has 17 percent in the attack in a single set and continues to play in the second set, then for normal people, including me, a statistician, this player should not play in the next set,” says Kasprzyk.

The next question from Sportowefakty’s journalist Krzysztof Sedzicki was: Is it time for Ferdinando de Giorgi to resign?

Now, we are waiting. We have to analyze, we can’t make such important decision that quick. This is a game, this a sport,” explains Kasprzyk.

Ferdinando de Giorgi had a short comment regarding this topic.

Should I thank you for cooperation? You should thank the staff and players for the hard work they have done. They gave everything,” says the Italian coach.
