They have lost their first game in the new year – Kielce beat them in four sets 3-1 (30-28, 29-27, 20-25, 25-21).
It is the first defeat of Andrzej Kowal since he has returned to the bench of Resovia. He had five-game winning streak before this loss.
The Serbian opposite Tomislav Dokic was the best scorer with 26 points. In Resovia, Alexander Sliwka had the best scoring display – 20 points.
The reigning champions Zaksa were trailing by one after the first set. However, they managed to make comeback and to beat Zawiercie 3-1 (22-25, 25-17, 25-23, 26-24).
Maurice Torres led Zaksa to the win with 21 points, while Gregorz Bociek had 19 on the other side.
Jastrzebski had also a difficult game. The team of Mark Lebedew had to play tie-break game to defeat Bielsko Biala away 3-2 (19-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-23, 15-8).
Osvaldo Hidalgo (23 points) and Maciej Muzaj (17) were the best scorers in Jastrzebski, while Luka Petrusik (Bielsko Biala) was the top scorer of the game with 25 points.
