– On January 24, coaching meeting will be held. It will be attended by the head coaches and representatives of all the Superliga clubs. We will make a report and then we’ll talk about who we would all like to see at the head of the team. Our chosen candidate will be announced on Friday.
– According to rummors Yuriy Marichev has the best chance to take over the Russian team. Is this true?
– This is possible. In my opinion, it would be a good choice. On one hand, Marichev is busy in the men’s club. On other, he has experience in women’s volleyball. And the experience was very successful. With women’s “Dinamo” Krasondar he won the bronze medal of the Russian championship, taking command at a time when they were in eighth place. This is a professional coach, a very good strategist. Plus almost all reviews about him are – positive. So he is one of the main contenders. But again, the decision will be made in the meeting.
