Still reigning champion of Europe has already stayed without two major trophies. After elimination from the Champions League, Lokomotiv is out of National Cup as well. So the coach Andrey Voronkov and captain Alexander Butko decided to apologize to the fans:
“On the behalf of the players I apologize to all who believe in us. We are very upset with the results. Losses happen, but it does not mean we will stop fighting. Your love and support is very important for us, and we will try our best to improve the situation” said Butko.
“Current results do not match our ambitious. We are worried about recent failures, but we also take them as a big lesson. We will draw conclusions and work even harder in future period” stated Voronkov.
