The team of coach Renan Dal Zotto had a week off after they won the silver medal at the FIVB World League 2017 in Curitiba and than they returned to work for the new challenge in Chile.
At the South American Championship Brazil are in Group A with Colombia, Venezuela and Paraguay while in Group B are Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Peru.
“The South American Championship is another competition where the Brazilian team wants to get the title. But let’s not forget that South American volleyball has grown a lot in recent years and we need to be alert to all opponents. So we are preparing to go to Chile and competet for another title,” said Renan.
In the 31 editions of the South American Championship, the green and yellow team won 30 titles.
