Polish PGE Skra Bełchatów maybe did a favor to Ziraat by eliminating them from the CEV Champions League Playoffs 12 beacuse now, Ziraat can fully focus on trying to win championship title in Turkey.

In Round 20, Ziraat pointed out serious candidacy to win trophy by downing one of the teams who want the same, Halkbank, and to break their winning streak of 11 games in Division 1, 3-1 (22-25, 25-18, 26-24, 25-20).

The Swedish Marcus Nilsson was the best scorer in Ziraat with 20 points. The Pole Michał Kubiak had 17 points in Halkbank whose coach Lorenzo Bernardi decided to rest Frenchman Kévin Le Roux (did not play at all) and Italian Dragan Travica (entered as substitute in Set 4) for the CEV Champions League Playoffs 6 clash against Cucine Lube Banca Marche Civitanova from Italy, on March 17.
