The first stage of the Argentine Volleyball League (LVA) concluded at the Olympic Park in Buenos Aires. Boca Juniors, CEF5, and Ciudad Vóley emerged as standout winners, each securing three victories in a fiercely competitive opening weekend.

Match Highlights:

  • Boca Juniors 3-0 Defensores de Banfield
    Pablo Denis Cabañas led Boca to a dominant straight-set victory (25-19, 25-20, 25-22), contributing 15 points. Boca now boasts three consecutive wins and 9 points in the standings.
  • CEF5 3-0 San Lorenzo
    Gerónimo Elgueta’s stellar performance, with 15 points, powered CEF5 to their third victory, maintaining an unbeaten record. San Lorenzo suffered their first defeat in a tightly contested 25-21, 26-24, 25-21 match.
  • Waiwen 3-2 River Plate
    In a nail-biting tiebreak, Waiwen claimed their first win of the tournament. Bautista Gazaba delivered a spectacular 26-point performance, securing a 3-2 (15-13 final set) victory.
  • Ciudad Vóley 3-0 Vélez Sarsfield
    Ciudad closed the weekend with a flawless win (25-14, 25-16, 25-19). Facundo Conte’s 11-point contribution ensured Ciudad’s perfect start to the league.

CEF5 leads with 9 points, followed closely by Ciudad and Boca with 8 each. San Lorenzo trails with 5 points, while River, and Monteros remain in pursuit.
