Brazil Edges Past Mexico to Face Dominican Republic in Pan American Games Final

In an intense semifinal matchup at the Arena Parque O’Higgins during the 2023 Santiago Pan American Games, Brazil clinched their spot in the final match by overcoming Mexico in a thrilling 3-2 tie-break (25-17, 22-25, 27-25, 22-25, 15-13).

Sabrina Machado was Brazil’s star player, tallying 24 points. Lorena Viezel was also instrumental with 17 points. Maira Basso chipped in with 10 points. For Mexico, Grecia Castro and Karen Rivera were the standout performers, both scoring 16 points, while Aimé Topete contributed 15 points.
