POLAND IS THE NEW WORLD CHAMPION!

by WoV

If somebody deserved this title it's Poland. Congratulations to volleyball nation! Poland - Brazil 3-1 (18-25, 25-22,25-23, 25-22).

25-22 – POLAND IS THE NEW WORLD CHAMPION!

Poland

WORLD CHAMPIONS

23-21 – Brazil so close to losing their crown!

19-20 – What is Saatkamp for Brazil, that’s Mateusz Mika for Poland. He is playing fantastic at the moment.

17-19 – You can guess one time. Who blocked Wlazly? It’s Lucas Saatkamp, of course.

16-17 – If Brazil win this, Lucas Saatkamp is going to be the best player of the match. For sure.

16-15 – Big challenge in favour of Brazil, still Poland has the lead before the ending of the set.

15-13 – Just a briliant short diagonal spike from Mika. Pure art from the young Polish.

12-12 – First an amazing spike, then a great service and Wallace has Brazil on his back now.

11-9 – Brazil lost their defence, their control over the game. Can they comeback? Will this amazing fans let them?

8-7 – Again tight set and a small lead for Poland. If the history is going to repeat…

POL vs BRA 2-1

25-23 – Huge mistake by Brazilian libero who wanted to set the ball and did an awful job so Lucarelli spiked it over the antenna. 2-1!

23-23 – It was clear that ball was out, big mistake by sideline ref, but video challenge was there. All even at 23!

22-20 – What a spike by Wlazly, Poland is almost there!

19-19 – Stop by Saatkamp! We are all even at 19!

16-15 – These teams are so even at the moment it’s almost impossible to separate them.

9-8 – The lead is on the Polish side but it’s still a very very close game.

5-3 – The momentum seems to be with Poland now as they thrive in this kind of atmosphere.

25-22 – Service mistake by Sidao and the two set points for the home team. Mika smashed it on the counter attack set by Zagumny!

22-20 – Big chance for Poland now to secure the tie as they lead deep into the second set.

17-16 – Second time out in just two points span for Antiga as Bruno can’t be moved from the serving spot.

17-14 – Briliant set by Bruno who left Wallace without any block and he smashed it with force.

17-11 – Amazing call for a video challenge eclipsed this Poland lead which now stands at five points.

11-7 – Still the home team doesn’t even think about the defeat. Wlazly is playing great right now.

7-7 – Brazil was in trouble after losing 4-1 but their defence is always there to bail them out.

18-25 – Poland has to forget about this set and start over fresh and motivated. Brazil is looking scary.

15-21 – Here it is, the trademark Lucarelli spike when he waits for block to fall and he is still up there. Something like flying basically.

11-18 – Despite the support, Poland can’t catch a break now. Brazil’s defence is like from another planet.

11-16 – Saatkamp is just owning this match at the moment. Already with three blocks he is taking Brazil far ahead.

8-13 – Brazil is playing amazing right now. Defence is again on such a high level.

6-9 – What a rally! Over ten times the ball switched sides. In the end Wlazly spiked it off the block for a huge roar from the crowd.

3-5 – Saatkamp breaks the deadlock with a great stop over Wlazly.
