“This is the right time for Russia to organize a major volleyball tournament. Qatar and Argentina are also in the game for hosting the next World Championship, but in my opinion Russia is the best option. It has everything which is required, including facilities” stated Graça for russiavolley.com.
He also added that the current political situation in the region should not be a problem.
“You should separate politics and sport. I have no influence on politics, I can only make decisions related to sport. Russia can and should organize big events.”
