“Not a single member of Russia’s National Team has been tested for doping since January. As you know, only WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) and RUSADA (Russian Anti-Doping Agency) are authorized to perform doping tests (on Russian athletes) so, to talk about doping in this case (case of Aleksey Obmochaev) is simply incorrect. Do you know anything about the doping controls on the streets? I do not. I know that there were no Russian volleyball players tested,” Yaramenko said after it was revealed that Obmochaev, the libero of Russia’s NT and Dinamo Moscow and Olympic champion from London was tested positive for the drug different than meldonium which was in case of Aleksandr Markin.
