The 13th World Beach Volleyball Championships will take place in Rome, Italy from 10 to 19 June.
The biggest names from the world beach volleyball will compete for medals at this championship, and among others there will be Olympic champions Anders Mol and Christian Sorum from Norway, bronze medalists from Tokyo Olympics Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan from Qatar, currently leading at the FIVB world rankings Stefan Boermans and Yorick de Groot from the Netherlands, current Asian champions Christopher McHugh and Paul Burnett from Australia and many other top men’s teams.
In the women’s competition, currently leading in the world rankings Katja Stam and Raisa Schoon from the Netherlands, defendinf world champions Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes from Canada, Tokyo Olympic medalists Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho Dellar from Australia and Joana Heidrich and Anouk Verge-Depre from Switzerland and many others.
12 women’s and 12 men’s pools were drawn for the first phase of the FIVB World Beach Volleyball Championship in Rome 2022.
