Dejan Vincic, the Slovenian setter, is currently experiencing a new adventure in his career.

After spending three seasons in Poland, he moved to his next challenge - VFB Friedrichshafen.

You have a new challenge in your career – Friedrichshafen. What are your expectations for this season?

I’m very proud and happy to be here. All people from the volleyball world know that VFB Friedrichshafen have a great tradition and organization so I’m really satisfied here. We have a mixture of the experienced players and great youngsters who have a huge potential and talent and I think it will work well on the court.”

You will be playing for the first time in Bundesliga. Have you talked to someone to get some information about it?

“I don’t have that much information about the league. However, I am here to listen and learn about it and so far, I found out some great things about Bundesliga.”

How far Friedrichshafen can go in the CEV Champions League?

Goals and expectations of this club are always high so it’s going to be the same this season. We will try to reach both finals in the national championship and national cup.”

After spending three seasons in Cerrad Radom, you’ve decided to move on. How would you describe this journey in Poland?

In Poland, I felt amazing and I’m very proud of what we achieved in these three years with Radom. I felt like at home there. Poland is home to volleyball, they have the best fans and it was an amazing experience and journey there.”

How coronavirus will have an influence on volleyball this season? Are you afraid that it can interrupt the season?

COVID 19 is a big issue for the world society. What we can do is to be careful as much as we can and trust the medical staff and leaders. I am sure they will make the right decision in the future. If the league stops because of it, we can’t do that much about it. It’s the world we live in right now.”

This summer there were no national team games. Have you missed the camp of the Slovenian national team?

This summer was quite unusual for every national team player because usually we are spending the whole summer with the national team and this summer we were completely free. So, I was focused on my little injuries to fix them to rehab, recover and of course to spend a lot of time with my family kids. But for sure, I missed being with the guys, we were so excited to play the Nations League after so many attempts trying to get there it was finally time and coronavirus stopped everything unfortunately,” says Dejan Vincic at the end of the interview for WorldofVolley.

FIVB, change the rule, please!

Re: @Sorah
That is very stupid too, indeed. If we do a simple analysis we can find a lot of other very stupid things. Another one is uselessly continuing the set when the score difference is 10 points. Who has recovered from that? (I mean in the senior games, not in the underage games.)

FIVB, change the rule, please!

Re: @Sorin Acela
The most stupid rule is each set has 25 points and teams only play serious game from point 15-16.
If sets had 15 or 11 points, they cared from first point, and didn't cause spectators to sleep. Reply

FIVB, change the rule, please!

Volleyball has gathered stupid aspects because it is ruled by stupid people like Oldman Graca and Oldman Boričić! Then you have other silly people like this guy. By far the most stupid thing in volleyball is hugging twice a minute. That has to change, that has to be forbidden. Multiple other aspects have to change, but no one is interested in improving volleyball. I sent much more interesting proposals to people in the high hierarchy of volleyball, but no one cared. Some of those morons can't even read an email! While world volleyball is ruled by stupid careless morons, it continue the road towards dying, with most games having 100-300 spectators. This blog is also uninterested in the improvement of volleyball. Reply
