Plus Liga starts with Asseco Resovia playing against Indykpol AZS Olsztyn in the first round. They lost the Polish Supercup match against PGE Skra Belchatow and will try to win on the start of the season with Zbigniew Bartman and Jochen Schops.

Asseco Resovia Rzeszow – team

PGE Skra Belchatow won the Supercup. Asseco Resovia did not present itself as the fans wanted.

PGE Skra Belchatow was more determined. We lacked aggression on the pitch. We made a lot of mistakes. We need to be more consistent in the service, but of course not at the expense of the result.

Fans of last season have become accustomed to strong Gyorgy Grozer services. But it’s time to forget about the former attackers and focus on other players – Zbigniew Bartman, and Jochen Schops.

Of course. It’s hard to find another Grozer. However Grozer alone does not win the match. We can not tune in for service and only one player. We have a few players who are strong and effective.

Nowakowski is struggling with an injury. When will he return to the game?

I think he will play in the match against Indykpol AZS Olsztyn. We’ll see if he is 100% ready.

You are also playing in the Champions League. How will you distribute your players?

We have thirteen volleyball players, who at any moment may appear on the field and raise the level of the team. We will try to rotate the composition. We’ll see how things work out.

Do you think the Plus Liga level is higher this year?

At the beginning of the season it is difficult to assess whether the league will be weaker or stronger than last year. I think that at the end of the season it will be more talk about it and we can make a judgment.

Do you think any of the teams in this season may surprise fans with something new?

Of course there are teams that may surprise the fans. At this point, it is difficult to predict. Each season brings new surprises and probably this season will too.
