In a big interview for WorldofVolley, Rozalin has talked about many topics and we are recommending you to read the whole article to find out some new things about the Bulgarian player.

– What are your expectations for the season in the Argentine domestic league?

We didn’t have a good start after losing an important match and maybe the most important player from our team. This was a big loss for us, there is a lot of time till the playoffs but I am optimistic. The first target is to reach the final, there are a lot of interesting teams that play attractive volleyball,” says Rozalin at the start of the interview.

– You played some matches in Copa ACLAV – what are the differences between volleyball in Europe and Argentina?

Yes, unfortunately. In Copa, we finished in the 3rd position. The first difference that I noticed since my arrival here is the ball. It doesn’t fall so easy on the ground, you can’t make bombs like with Mikasa, which makes volleyball here so attractive for the crowd because there are a lot of long rallies with a lot of defense during every match.”

– You’ve lost a game to your fierce rival – UPCN. What was the reaction of the fans and your teammates?

We lost two times against UPCN, of course, we were all disappointed because they are the other title contender and this is probably the team that we will fight with for the championship trophy, but till that time come, we will prepare to the maximum for derby!”

– Have you received some advice from your compatriot Nikolay Uchikov, who plays for UPCN?

We are very close friends, we know each other since long time ago in Bulgaria. It’s fun to play against each other, I can’t say that I ask for advice, but we exchange thoughts sometimes.”

– Did you get used to living in Argentina?

Since I came here I didn’t have any problems with the life, I get used to it immediately. This is my fourth season far away from home and I know the barriers already. For the first time, I have to admit that I feel happy to live and work somewhere far from home.”

– How do you spend your free time there?

I don’t have too much free time and usually spend it at home doing some stuff, watching movies, playing PC games or cooking. Sometimes we make barbecue with the teammates. I use the good weather and the swimming pool in my house. To sum it up, mainly I spending my time to relax because we have hard work during the week!”

– Your older brother Nikolay is playing in PGE Skra Belchatow. Would you like to make a comeback to Plusliga one day?

“Of course, I would like to play but not only with him but with my twin brother as well, who is playing as a setter. Almost every goal that I follow in a career is connected with my two brothers! With Niko, we play together in the national team every summer, but with Chono, we didn’t have the chance to play in one team since we split in Poland four years ago. It’s very difficult to live separated from your twin brother long time like this. So, as soon as possible I hope that we will have that chance to reunite somewhere and play together which would be one more goal accomplished.

– What would be your public message for your brothers?

I wish both of them to stay healthy. For Nikolay, I would like to wish him a good luck in the league and to work hard because in December we are going to meet each other – the clash number 2 between us.”

– If you were not a volleyball player, what would you do for a living?

“Honestly, I never thought about what would I be if not a volleyball player, but I love animals, with my twin brother we had a huge list of all kinds of animals a long time ago when we were living in Bulgaria as young fellows. So, I guess it would something with animals!

– And for the end, what is your message for young volleyball players that are trying to enter the world of professionals?

Well for the young players, I can say only that everything is possible when you work hard, soon or later you’ll get the chance, but when it comes you have to be ready to grab it! Every success in your life, it’s gonna be because of the work you have done! The only way to develop as a player is – hard work,” sends message Rozalin Penchev, for the end of the interview for WorldofVolley!
