Yesterday, 76 aces were registered on the opening day of the tournament. Throughout the tournament, the VELUX Group will donate 15 € per serve ace made to a pot that will be awarded to the top three among the nominated clubs. The winners of the award will be decided by the fans that are invited to vote for their favourite nominee at www.velux.com/win .
This year’s Championship seems to be high on serving aces as the first day had no less than 76 aces, which brings the prize pot to 1.140 €. In the 2011 European Championship there were a total of 299 at the end of the tournament where Serbia won gold while Italy and Poland settled for silver and bronze respectively. While voting for one of the clubs atwww.velux.com/win fans can also enter a contest to win a signed match shirt from their favourite team. The winner of the competition will be announced on www.velux.com/win at the end of the Championship.
