At 34 years old, Giba is still on top of his game

Murilo Endres looks up to their captain as someone who represents their way of play. Giba’s name has been synonymous with Brazilian volleyball

His passion for the game is incomparable and that is positively reflected on his game every time he steps into the court. In the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Cup, he has played exceptionally well – diving for every ball in defence and maintaining his high-intensity offense.

Giba’s experience has benefitted many of his teammates, and in return, has earned him their respect as their leader. His teammates recognise the importance of their captain in attaining their goals in every competition.

For Giba, his love for the sport, the energy and the playing atmosphere keep him going. He is just glad of his good health and his power to help out the other players to achieve success in future.
