“It’s such an honour. I think we as female Volleyball players are role models for young girls around the world too. That’s why I want to give something back; because that’s what sports is all about,” said Akinradewo, the middle blocker of multiple Swiss champs Volero ZÜRICH.
Akinradewo will also take time for her fans in the special Meet & Greet Zone after the games of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship in Manila.
“It’s always nice to meet fans and chat with them after the game. In my opinion, this idea with the Meet & Greet Zone at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship is a great initiative. I am already looking forward to meeting some Volleyball fans there.”
