Matias Miranda, captain of Argentina: “We have played very well even though we decreased our level in the last set. I think we are on a good way. We have been doing the right things and that’s why we are here as pool winners.”

Mauricio Lopez, captain of Mexico: “It was a great match at the end. We didn’t have a good start because the tactics of Argentina worked out so well. We couldn’t have a good reception and couldn’t put a good offense. They pressed with their serves. Now we need to focus on reach the ninth position.”

Julian Alvarez, coach of Argentina: “We played an excellent game from the serve and carried out our strategic plan. The serves helped us to have good blocking and defense. We don’t have star players son we depend on team-work and playing skills. During the match we had glimpses of excellent level. I think Mexico have a good bunch of players.

Oscar Licea, coach of Mexico: Argentina played very well, definitely. We couldn’t find solutions to their serves even though we tried our very best. At the end we were able to raise our game level.”
