Besides Solé, the nominees in volleyball at the ceremony organized by the Argentinian Sports Journalists were Javier Filardi and Ana Gallay and Georgina Klug (beach volleyball pair). Interestingly, for example, Facundo Conte was not in the competition.
The star of the night was judoka Paula Pareto who received gold medal and was announced the best Argentine athlete in 2015.
For Solé, this recognition crowns a successful year in which he took title in Italian championship with Diatec Trentino and qualified with Argentina’s NT to the 2016 Rio Olympics.
