Argentina v Poland

Both teams played already two matches with Argentina defeating Australia and losing v Italy while Poland defeated Italy in its first match to be overcome by Bulgaria, the leader of Pool A and only undefeated team.

Even though Poland is the star of the Pool due to its FIVB World League title (first one in its history) the background of clashes between both teams always gave the victory to the European team. Just recently, at the Memorial Wagner competition organized by the Polish in Zielona Gora, the host team defeated Argentina 3-0.

In the year 2011 they faced each other three times. At the Final Round of the FIVB World League, with Poland also playing at home in Gdansk, winning 3-2 and 3-0 and at the third date of the Japan World Cup last November with a 3-1 for the Polish.

The other two matches in Pool A to be played this Thursday are AustraliaBulgaria and Great Britain-Italy.
