The 2nd-seed EMS Taubaté Funvic beat no.7 Montes Claros América Vôlei in a decider of the most disputed series of the 2020/21 Brazilian Men’s Superliga Banco Do Brasil playoff quarterfinals and went to the semifinals. The São Paulo team swept rivals by a 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-21) in Game 3, won the series by a 2-1, and scheduled the Paulista classic against Vôlei Renata in the next stage.
All semifinal duels (best-of-3), both men’s and women’s, will be played in a bubble in Saquarema. The Brazilian federation proposed such a solution even before the start of the quarterfinals but clubs refused it. First, women will go out o the court, on March 26. The men’s playoff semifinals will start on April 7.
