William Arjona, Sada Cruzeiro captain: “I really don’t recall how our previous title was – it’s all about this moment. I’m very happy for this second World Championship and it will be very hard to do it one more time. It’s time to celebrate, to be happy. That’s the word – joy. I’m not going to believe it for a while. I’m thankful for this, I’m thankful for the heart of the team to make it. We gave our absolute maximum at this final. We left all we have on this court.”
Marcelo Rodolfo Mende, Sada Cruzeiro coach: “It’s a tremendous feeling. We are the first Brazilian team to win two Club World Championships and I’m ecstatic. The team played a great match, not only tactically but also showing a winning attitude and a huge spirit to get the gold medal. You don’t see in many parts of the world this kind of energy. They showed one more time how they wanted this and performed superbly in every aspect of the game.”
