Tokyo Olympic winners Anders Mol and Christian Sorum advanced to the EuroBeachVolley finals, and are one step away from winning the tournament and defending the title. If they manage to win EuroBeachVolley, the Norwegians will become the first team in the 29-year history of the tournament to win it four times in a row.
In an extremely exciting and interesting semifinal match, they defeated Alexander Brouwer and Robert Meeuwsen 2-1 (17-21, 21-17, 15-13).
In the final, they will meet another team from the Netherlands, Stefan Boermans and Yorick de Groot. In the second semifinal match, Boermans and de Groot were better than Piotr Kantor and Bartosz Losiak from Poland with 2-0 (21-19, 21-10).
