What’s your impression about Canada’s performances in the Pool B?
“I think the team has come together very nice, they are playing well so far and I think knowing these guys they have another level still. Of course, the 2 losses hurt but they were close games and the guys did a good job. This will affect where they come out but it is not from lack of performance rather a difficult pool where everyone is winning games. Overall, I think they did very well and I am very happy watching them.”
How far Canada can go?
“I think based on the pool they ended up in they have a great chance to move on. All teams in that pool they have beaten in recent years so to me all games are very winnable. I feel like the guys have a really good chance to steal first in the pool or to be the best second team and get to final 6, I really believe in them and that they can do it. They have shown they can beat any team and now anything is possible.”
What’s would be your message for them?
“I would just tell them to keep fighting, playing well, we are all watching and supporting them no matter what,” says Gavin Schmitt.
