Here is an official statement from the FIVB:

The FIVB is aware and surprised by the situation in Brazil.

Both FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° and General Director Fabio Azevedo had received this information from media and have requested immediate action from their lawyers to clarify what is clearly a misunderstanding.

Both have strenuously denied the allegations made against them in today’s media coverage.

Both the President and General Director have instructed their lawyers to vigorously contest the allegations.

Pending full legal due process, the FIVB will make no further comment at this stage.”
