The Swiss Women’s volleyball powerhouse Volero Zürich decided to release themselves an extra load on the setter position.

As Volero announced on their website, they loaned Serbian setter Bojana Živković, the 2017 CEV European Championship winner, to the French side Entente Sportive du Cannet-Rochevilel Volley-Ball until the end of the season.

Volero had an idea to loan Živković even earlier but hesitated to do so due to the fact that the situation with her compatriot Ana Antonijević was unclear until recently. But, when Antonijević got a green light by the FIVB to compete in the 2017/18 as she was cleared of doping charges, Volero implemented the idea of loaning Živković into practice.

She was not even registered for the Swiss League opener, in which Volero’s 185-game run was interrupted. The Russian Anastasiya Korinenko and Serbian Ana Antonijević, another 2017 EuroVolley winner, will make the setter duo of the club from Zürich this season.
