Penchev
Bulgaria will start their participation against Finland today, but will probably have to do it without the receiver/outside hitter Nikolay Penchev.
The player that supposed to be a major figure of the head coach Plamen Konstantinov due to the absence of Sokolov and Aleksiev got pneumonia and a fever, and will surely skip the first two games.
Konstantinov went a step further in predictions, stating for the website of Bulgaria’s Volleyball Federation that Penchev might miss out entire tournament in Berlin.
