In the 4th set Berlin led in the middle stages (16-12, 22-17), then Friedrichshafen cached up, but Carroll finished 25-23.
Simeonov, replaced by Zass in the 4th set, had 16 points with 45% attack and two blocks. MVP of the match was the middle blocker Fischer: 50% attack, 5 blocks and two aces. The top scorers were Kromm 24, Spirovski 20, Fischer 14, Kmet 8; Simeonov 16, Idi 14, José 10, J.Rivera 9.
