Mourning in the volleyball world. Nikolaos Samaras passed away at the age of 42, due to a brain aneurysm. Former national team player won 6th place at the World Junior Championship in Athens, 2nd place in the CEV Cup with Orestiada and Greek Cup with Iraklis in 2000.

Nikolaos Samaras was born in Stuttgart on 09.01.1970, in his career he played in Serie A1 for Falconara in the season 1998/1999, made 419 points in the league and 15 in the Italian Cup.

Former Greece national team player won 6th place at the World Junior Championship in Athens, 2nd place in the CEV Cup with Orestiada and won the Greek Cup with Iraklis in 2000.

He leaves a wife and a 5 year old son.
