For the third consecutive year, Imoco players lifted the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa. This victory, in Rome, was earned following a spectacular comeback after their rivals Novara dominated the court for the full 2 sets. The tie-break was a culmination of the excitement in the Italian capital – Novara canceled 3 match points before surrendering to ‘The Panthers’.

Even though she hasn’t shown her A-game in the decider, Paola Egonu (26 points; 43% attack) took another MVP title. Raphaela Folie set up 4 blocks, while Monica De Gennaro made 73% reception (26 digs, 2 errors, 65% perfect). Turkish international Ebrar Karakurt scored 23 points for Novara, while Eleonora Fersino made 83% reception (24 digs, 2 errors, 54% perfect).
